Social Worker
Duties and Responsibilities: A social worker helps people cope with challenges they are facing in their lives.
Salary: $45,900 USD
Education: need at least a bachelor's degree in social work (BSW), but you may be able to get a job with a degree in psychology or sociology. Some jobs require a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW), and if you want a career as a clinical social worker, this advanced degree is required.
Demands or Needs: active listening, verbal communication, interpersonal skills, time management, organizational skills, critical thinking.
Reflection: I think a part of me does want to be a social worker and a part of me doesn't want to be a social worker. I want to be a social worker because it will help people who really need the help but they get paid very little and its under the average salary. I would probably get bored of this job very easily too.
