Class Evaluation

1. Some things I liked about the class were learning about new medical and non medical careers. I liked making new friends and getting to know them better. I liked seeing the videos that showed people being kind because it shows that there is still kindness in this world. I enjoyed becoming a CTR person.` 2. Some things that I did not like about the class was having to type about a different student success statement every time we com to this class. It would have been better if we typed on every other day. it is important for us to learn how to type but there is a limit to where it should stop. 3. Some recommendations for improving the class would be that we shouldn't type so much. We should limit the snout of student success statements that we do. We should also be able to have more free time. Time to relax our brains from all that we learned. 4. A highlight for me in this class is coming to this class and talking to my friend. She makes me feel better, she makes me laugh an

Bullying

I chose the topic bullying because I think it is important because people don't pay attention to it as much as other things. It is a topic that has minor recognition and I think that its not right because bullying can lead to suicide. I think that there is no reason to harass someone online or in person. I think that people who bully are cowards. I think that they are cowards because there is no reason to put people down even if you have problems of your own. If you do have problems you talk it out instead of hurting people. When you bully you are making that person feel terrible about themselves. People take bullying too far. There are approximately one million people who commit suicide. Suicide is the 4th leading cause of death in young people. People who witness bullying but don't do anything about it are called bystanders. They are either afraid to stand up to the bully because they don't ant to get bullied themselves or because they enjoy doing it too. bringing peoples

Responsibility

"Take responsibility for your own body, mind, and spirit, for your own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being." - Mr. C. Haymore I think what this quote means is that we have to take responsibility for ourselves and stop blaming others for what we have done. For example is you cheated on a test and you get asked if you did cheat you must confess and say that you did. It isn't fair to all the other people who took the test because they tried their best. Sometimes its hard to take responsibility because you don't want to get in trouble for what you did. But it is better to take responsibility now and accept the consequences rather than lie and lie and get more in trouble later. I would take responsibility for my actions and my mistakes because I wouldn't want to get more in trouble. If people take responsibility more often there would be a lot more honesty and trust in the world. We wouldn't doubt each other or lie to each other, we would tell the truth an

The harmful effects of smoking

Cigarette smoking causes more than 480,000 deaths each year  Its nearly one in five deaths smoking can cause cancer  smokers are at greater risk at developing cardiovascular disease  Smoking causes cancer everywhere in your body, lung, bladder, blood, colon, esophagus, liver, pancreas etc.  smoking can make it harder for a woman to get pregnant, it can also effect preterm delivery, stillbirth, low birth weight, sudden infant death syndrome, ectopic pregnancy, orofacial clefts in infants etc.  More than 10 times as many U.S. citizens have died prematurely from cigarette smoking than have died in all the wars fought by the United States.

Intelligence

"Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education" - Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. I think what this quote means is that intelligence is not the only important part of education. You need to have good character in other words you need to be a good person. You can be very smart and that's useful but if your not nice or kind then it won't matter because people won't want to work with you. In the future it is important that people work with you because you can't do everything by yourself. You will need help sometimes and if you aren't kind then no one will want to help you so how will you finish the job. For example if you are a very intelligent person working in marketing but you are greedy and mean and you are given a job to sell a product with a partner no one will want to help you because of your personality. On the other hand if you are intelligent and have a good personality and your are given a job in the same b

Richard L. Evans

"We need the courage to start and continue what we should do, and the courage to stop what we shouldn't do." - Richard L. Evans I think what this quote means is that we need to continue doing good things and things that will have a positive impact on us instead of doing things that will have a negative impact on us. For example When you are hanging out with some friends and they start doing drugs, you should already know that those are the wrong friends for you and you need new friends. On the other hand if you have friends who are encouraging you to get good grades who are supporting you then those friends are the ones you should stay friends with. Another example would be to get good grades and stop slacking off. Its important to do the right thing because it makes yourself and others feel good. We shouldn't be influenced by people who make bad decisions because then we will do bad things ourselves. We need to surround ourselves with positive people.

Lies

"When you tell one lie, it leads to another"-Paul Hatch I think what this quote means is that once you tell a lie and everyone believes you, you start telling more lies because you don't want to get caught lying. So then you cover it up with lie after lie after lie. I don't like liars because there is no reason to lie to anyone. Its better to just tell the truth and deal with the consequences before making them worse with lies. I have told lies before and the consequences are worse because you said something that wasn't truthful. I have learned form my mistakes and I don't tell them anymore. I would rather tell the truth because it doesn't hurt the person as much as lying over and over again. I don't like being lied to I find it as a type of betrayal no matter how small and that person can lose my trust easily. It is very difficult to gain it to because I have trust issues and I only trust a certain amount of people.
