Theodore Hesburgh

Image
"My basic principle is that you don't make decisions because they are easy; you don't make them because they are cheap; you don't make them because they're popular; you make them because they're right.- Theodore Hesburgh I agree with this quote because many people make decisions because they are being influenced by the things or people around them. Other people make decisions because it's the right thing to do. they genuinely care about the outcome of the decision they are about to make. They want it to turn out right for them and for everyone. The people that are being influenced are the ones that don't really care about the decision they are about to make. I always try and make the right decision because I want the outcome to be good not only for me but for my surroundings as well.

Abraham Lincoln

Image
"I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he's right, and part with him when he goes wrong." - Abraham Lincoln I agree with this quote because its important to stand next to someone when they have done the right thing or are doing the right thing. You should have their back no matter what. when they have done something wrong, forgive them but don't stay with them. Let them fix the mistake that they have made. If they don't fix the mistake then they aren't sorry for what they have done. That means that they will continue to do the same mistake over and over again and they won't stop because they don't care.

I would get bored very easily and I wouldn't be paid very well.

Podiatrist

Image
Duties and responsibilities: commonly known as a foot and ankle surgeon Salary: $119,340 USD Education: Doctoral or Professional degree. Demands or Needs: interpersonal skills, reasoning skills, ability to focus on details. Reflection: I don't think I would like to be a podiatrist because some patients feet are really bad and I would get disgusted. I wouldn't be able to handle the intensity of the patients situation and I would probably quit the first couple of days. I don't have anything against feet but if you don't take care of yourself especially your feet I will be disgusted. There's nothing wrong for men to go to nail salons and get their feet taken care of. It just means that they care about personal hygiene.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Image
"Character is higher than intellect." - Ralph Waldo Emerson I agree with this quote because although intellect is important so is character. Character is what makes a person who they are. If they have bad character they are a bad person. If they have good character they are a good person. I always try to have good character. Sometimes its hard because there are people who like to annoy me or anger me. There's a limit to how much I can take and once someone has gone past that limit then there's no going back.

Physical Therapy Assistant

Image
Duties and Responsibilities:    work under licensed  physical therapists  (PTs) to help people with  physical  injuries or illnesses of to regain range of movement and control their pain.   Salary: $37,710 USD Education: associates degree, licensure    Demands or Needs: compassion, attention to detail, dexterity, interpersonal skills, stamina    Reflection:  I would not like to be one because this job sound boring. I don't think I would enjoy this job because I would get bored of it very easily. The salary isn't very good either its far beneath the average salary. So I don't think this ob would be worth it.

Tyler Haws

"I trust that my hard work will pay off." - Tyler Haws I agree with this quote because hard work does pay off. For example, if you have a test coming up and you know its going to be a difficult test, you study and go to tutoring to get the extra help that you need. Tyler worked hard in basketball and to get into missionary training. He reached his goal and left basketball for 2 years just because he wanted to be a priest. I work hard and it does pay off. No matter what I work hard in it pays off sooner or later. I believe that people should always work hard to get what or where they want. Not everyone can get anywhere  with minimal effort unless they cheat their way through. If they cheat their way through then how are they going to learn anything. It best to give 100% effort than anything less because that's how you will succeed.

Physical Therapist

Image
Duties and Responsibilities: U sing mechanical force and movements, manual therapy, exercise therapy and electrotherapy, remediates impairments and promotes mobility and function. Salary: $84,020 USD Education: doctor of physical therapy degree, bachelors degree, classes in anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry and physics Demands or Needs: reading comprehension, active listening, writing, speaking, science skills, critical thinking, active learning, learning strategies. Reflection: I think it would be fun to do this job. I don't think I would ever get bored of this job because there are different people to work with. A lot of school is needed to become a physical therapist, but I think that in the end it would be worth it. You need a lot of skills to become a physical therapist too and I think it will be difficult to develop all of the skills needed. But being able to help someone who has trouble with their bodily movements seems like a really good thing to do.

Brigham Young

Image
"True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what's right." - Brigham Young I partially agree with this quote because it is true that if you do what is right you will have freedom and independence. But if you make mistakes you will learn from them then you will not make the same mistake again. People who have done things that they have regretted in the past or the present have learned not to make the same mistake again. Which is why I think it is ok to make mistakes, minor ones at east. If you make a big mistake then you will have to pay for the consequences, big or small. But then you will learn from them and never make the same mistake twice. I have learned from my mistakes and I know that I will never make them again.

Pharmacist

Image
Duties and Responsibilities: health care professionals who work in a pharmacy. Salary: $121,500 USD Education: Doctoral or Professional degree Demands or Needs: attention to detail, computer literacy, strong math and science skills, ability to operate pill counting machines, good interpersonal skill Reflection: I would not like to be a pharmacist because it doesn't seem interesting to me. I strongly believe that I would get bored of this job very quickly. I don't like working wit medicine. I feel like I would accidentally mess up the dose of medicine or the name of the person to who it's supposed to go to. If that were to happen I think there will be major consequences.

George Chapman

"They're only truly great who are truly good." - George Chapman I don't understand this quote because it is saying that those who are truly great are truly good too. Unless it would mean that the people who do good are considered great or vice-versa. For example, if you do good things like donate to charity a lot, or things like that you are considered a great person.

Periodontist

Demands or Needs: communication skills, customer service skills, manual dexterity, attention to detail, knowledge of business management. Reflection: I think there is a chance that I could be a periodontist. I would just have to get over the fact that I don't like putting my hands in peoples mouths. education wise it doesn't seem very heard to complete. I would also have to wok on my customer service skills.

George Mitchell

Image
"Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn't. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don't do it. - George Mitchell I agree with George because I don't think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain. I think it is best to do things the correct way and not cheat through it. I think this is important because once you get caught cheating the consequences can be dire. You should study or practice hard enough so that you can get to where you want to go. People who cheat almost always get caught. Once they do get caught then they are sorry for what they did. People who cheat only want to win or pass whatever they are cheating in.

Reflection: I think I would like to be one because this career seems interesting. I think that scanning thing and working with big machines if interesting and I have always wanted to try and do it.
